How long does the MEng program take to complete?

The MEng program offers students the option to complete their degree in either two (Fall/Winter) or three (Fall/Winter/Spring) academic terms. The academic requirements for degree completion are identical for both 2-term or 3-term streams. The overall tuition amount for both options is equal; per-term billing, however, is determined by dividing the total tuition for the academic year by the number of academic terms that the student is scheduled to participate in the program for that academic year. Is the MEng a research-based degree?

The choice to include a research component is up to the program applicant pending faculty approval. MEng students can choose to complete their degree by selecting either a focused, course-based option, or a combined approach with both the course-based and a Research-based project component included. Both options require the same total number of academic units for completion. The latter option is typically completed in three terms.
